# Delegation

> How token holders can delegate their MORPHO voting power to Dynamo DAO, why delegation matters, and how to find or become a delegate.

Delegation allows MORPHO token holders to assign their voting power to another address without transferring ownership of their tokens. This is how Dynamo DAO amplifies its influence in Morpho protocol governance.

## Why Delegation Matters

Dynamo DAO holds MORPHO tokens in its treasury and votes on [Morpho finance](https://dynamo.finance/) proposals on behalf of the Dynamo community. But the DAO's impact grows when more MORPHO holders **delegate to Dynamo**:

* **More voting power** = stronger influence on Morpho parameter decisions (IRMs, risk configs, fee switches)
* **Aggregated voice** = Dynamo can advocate for changes that benefit its users more effectively
* **No token transfer** = you keep full ownership and can re-delegate or self-delegate at any time

## Delegate Your MORPHO Voting Power to Dynamo DAO

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to the Morpho Governance App">
    Visit the Morpho governance portal.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect Your Wallet">
    Connect the wallet holding your MORPHO tokens.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find Dynamo DAO as a Delegate">
    Search for the Dynamo DAO delegate address in the delegate directory.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Delegate">
    Click **Delegate** next to the Dynamo DAO entry. Confirm the transaction. This is an on-chain action, standard gas fees apply.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm Delegation">
    Your MORPHO voting power is now assigned to Dynamo DAO. You retain full token ownership and can re-delegate at any time.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Dynamo Governance Delegation (DYNAMO Tokens)

You can also delegate your **DYNAMO voting power** within Dynamo's own governance to another address:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to Snapshot">
    Visit snapshot.org/#/dynamofinance.eth.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Delegation Settings">
    In your profile, navigate to **Delegate**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the Delegate Address">
    Enter the Ethereum address of the person or entity you want to delegate to.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Save the delegation. The delegate will now vote with your DYNAMO balance on future proposals (after the next snapshot block).
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Become a Delegate

Anyone can become a Dynamo governance delegate. To be listed as an official delegate:

1. Post a **Delegate Platform** on the Dynamo community forum, describing your governance philosophy, areas of focus, and availability
2. Provide your Ethereum address for delegation
3. Commit to voting and commenting on proposals regularly

Active delegates who consistently participate may be eligible for governance incentives, subject to DAO approval.

## Delegation Rules

| Rule                       | Detail                                                      |
| :------------------------- | :---------------------------------------------------------- |
| Delegation is not transfer | Your tokens stay in your wallet |
| Re-delegation is instant | You can change your delegate at any time |
| Self-delegation | If you want to vote yourself, delegate to your own address |
| Snapshot block applies | Delegation must be set before the proposal's snapshot block |

<Note>
  Delegating to Dynamo DAO for Morpho governance is separate from delegating DYNAMO tokens for Dynamo platform governance. The two systems are independent.
